The founding graduate students of UC Merced initatiated the preparation of the GSA constitution and bylaws in the year 2005. Through dialogue, discussion and brainstorming during several GSA and graduate student meetings, the following GSA Bylaws and Constitution were finalized by the graduate students of UC Merced:
